Meet Jackson Eye Care’s Doctors
Dr. Mark Jackson
Dr. Mark Jackson began his career after graduating from Southern College of Optometry in Memphis, TN at the Wal-Mart Vision Center in Columbus, NE. He opened the Fort Collins Wal-Mart Vision Center in 2001 and has enjoyed the community and people of the Front Range. He was asked in 2004 to provide optometric services at the Loveland Wal-Mart Vision Center. In April 2009, Jackson Eye Care moved the Loveland Office to the Timnath Wal-Mart Vision Center. Now, Jackson Eye Care is located in both the Fort Collins Walmart near Old Town as well as right next to Poudre Valley Hospital. Dr Jackson has “planted roots” in Fort Collins by getting involved with Fort Collins Breakfast Rotary and sponsoring local sporting teams. He is the Official Optometrist of the Fort Collins Foxes baseball team and the Official Sponsor of the Colorado Eagles hockey referees.
You can find him at Fort Collins Wal-Mart Vision Center near Old Town or out supporting the local community. He enjoys spending time with his family and friends going to hockey games, barbecues, or enjoying the Colorado outdoors.
Dr. Katie Engel
Dr. David Banford
Dr. David Banford is from Connecticut and is a proud Coloradoan since 1981. He graduated from the New England College of Optometry in Boston, MA in 1979. After he graduated, he practiced Optometry for over forty years, many of which, in Loveland, CO. After many years, Dr. Banford decided to retire, however, retirement did not suit him. Jackson Eye Care and many of his former patients are ecstatic to have him back.
Dr. Banford has many interests outside the office like flying planes, golfing, and building new projects. Rare fact, Dr Banford is a Certified Flight Instructor!
Dr. Steve Stout
Dr. Steve Stout is from Indiana. He attended the University of Indiana School of Optometry from 1977-1981. From 1981-1988 Dr. Stout worked in both his own and a secondary private practice. Collectively, Dr. Stout has practiced Optometry for 42 years. Though new to Colorado, he is seasoned in his profession.
Dr. Stout is very close with his family and loves to spend time with them during his free time. He also adores his pets!
